CCMB Annual Conference, April 16, 2011

The Center for Culture, Mind, and the Brain (CCMB) at the University of Michigan is pleased to announce a one-day conference on “Culture, Mind, and the Brain.” The conference is scheduled for April 16th at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The goal of the conference is to provide an occasion for young scholars (both graduate students and post-docs) from both UM and other institutions to present their work and engage in a scholarly dialogue, thereby helping to form and consolidate a community of people who are committed to the new field of cultural neuroscience. The conference features several oral presentations, a poster session, as well the opportunity for informal discussions among all participants.

We will allot enough time for each oral presentation to promote a thorough discussion on each paper that is presented. Professor Mike Morris of Columbia Business School will be the keynote speaker. In addition to giving his keynote, he will also join Professors Rich Gonzalez and Carolyn Yoon of the University of Michigan on a panel that will provide comments on each presentation.
